Is God the Author of Evil?

If god's a good and loving god, why is the're evil? The thing that we have to even you could prove, if you could even prove, that god is the author of evil, here is a problem that you run into. Jesus, god the son, he submitted himself to the same evil that is in the world, and then he took the consequences for that evil byex encing the full wrath of god though he didn't commit any evil. So it's almost like you can't say anything to god about evil when he said, yes, but i'm the one that took the worst consequence for itrt, i did that for you, and you rejected that.
