The Role of Blood Pressure in Pregnancy
High blood pressure thresholds in the second half of pregnancy were associated with a greater subsequent risk of preeclampsia and most adverse maternal and perinatal outcomes. The risk tended to be highest with stage two hypertension. That's at 140 over 90, which was the only ACC slash AHA blood pressure threshold that was useful to be used as a diagnostic test for true correlation with morbidity.
