The Letter Carriers' Lector in Romans
Paul's most high-level commendations of people are generally to his letter carriers in his letters, and that's a good example of Phoebe. The whole point of Romans is to create a unified Christian people under the Messiah who can be united under the Messiah. I think she does bring a lot more than his letter, C. de Mara, because in a corporate setting, what has to happen is the person who does normally read in a gathering,. You've got to have a bit of practice. These letters are long and, you know, they're tricky. But these were by definition performative.
