16 years ago, I climbed Mount Tabor for the first time. A friend bought me a plane ticket to Portland just a few months prior to this visit because he thought I should come to this particular seminary in this particular city. To be honest, I wasn't even looking at going to seminary, let alone interested in leaving the world that I had known for a defiantly weird one. It was then the scene from 45 minutes earlier flashed into my mind. The conversation was your average seminary sales pitch and I was determined not to buy it and I wasn't.
