The Warning From the Catechism About Spiritism
The catechism says divination conceals a desire for power over time, history and other human beings. But that's not the same thing as helping a soul move on in the afterlife. If you were helping a living person make spiritual progress, you wouldn't be accused of doing those things. I just don't think that the warning from the catechism engages what Father Castle is doing.
