The Importance of Setting Up a Good Still Life

A good still life is one that you're going to be interested in enough to stick with throughout the painting process. You need to paint not what you think you should paint, but what you want to paint and don't shy away from it because you think it's too hard. I have consistently been surprised at how easy things turned out to be that I actually thought we were going to be super hard.
