The Scientific Concept of Epigenetics

We know that certain events create markers in our body that can be passed on to the next generation. Christoph D. La Roche St Andre, Dr. Biology says there is an epigenetic heredity. An event experienced by the parents can be transmitted to the descendants on a transgenerational mode which concerns several generations. This has been demonstrated in plants in particular and worms or in flies. These are mechanisms described and understood molecularly but cannot be transposed to all organisms in mammals in general and humans in particular.
