Introduction
Connie arerans was a family therapy innovator, dhe lat conti errans, constance arerans, died aged 84. Her ground breaking longitudinal research encompassed interviews with parents, children and stepparents of divorce families throughout the decades. She coined the term bi nuclear family and challenged the many negative stereotypes surrounding what divorced families were. A well handled divorce could be healthier for children than a marriage filled with fighting and acrimony.
