Is There a Difference Between Smitchwork and Generalizable Motor Programs?
I would say that someone like Schmidt is closer and kind of wants to be in the ecological space, but just can't quite get there. I've had my hands tied really by the sport that I coach. The chance that somebody's going to be dropped on their head and break a neck is quite high. So I haven't found a way as yet to have a more ecological approach to novices. But if it is a case that people have these GMPs, then doing some form of drilling or developing a motor programme wouldn't be a complete waste of time.
