The Global North and the US Debt Gap
The global North and by this, I mean actually more specifically Europe and the United States. The next time that we have a senior US official, whether it's even Biden himself, go to Africa, not mention Chinese debt because as Kevin pointed out, the Chinese account for 4% of global debt stock. And if you recall from previous discussions on this show with various stakeholders that it wasn't Chinese debt that was sinking Sri Lanka or even Ghana,. But it was the private creditor debt. Until that is done, I don't think we can take the US seriously on this issue because they're just scoring cheap points against the Chinese. Yeah, the Chinese are not transparent. The Chinese are bad.
