How the Nano Grab Experiment Used the Galaxy as a Detector for Gravitational Waves
This week there was a big announcement by an experiment called nanograv. It stands for North American Nano Hurts Observatory for Gravitational Radiation. So they both like the word nano because it's in their title and it's an acronym. The huge scale of galaxy allows them to measure really long wavelength, low frequency gravitational waves that other gravitational wave detectors could never see.
