Using Machine Learning to Predict a Major Earthquake

John rundall at the university of california davis and his colleagues have taken these techniques from economics and used machine learning. They showed that prediction from past earthquakes is actually possible. It's more similar to the sort of predictions you might see in weather forecasts. So as you're getting closer to an event, the sot probability is just increasing generally. And then at a certain points, the probability is really becoming very, very high. That's the point the john rundall says we should really start to worryand the real sort of predictive part of this.
