The Two Roman Guards That Flew
I really see Emmaus also as a symbol of the sacrament table, where I get to share a meal with Jesus and my relationships with fresh eyes. And so in this sense, Emmaus can kind of represent a place of community and solidarity and invitation for us to have communion with the saints of God. Those moments of witnessing of Christ, however they come and whenever they come, will come to all of us eventually in the Lord's own time and the Lord's place.
