The Bluebeard of Gone Bay

Henri Laundrieu was nicknamed the Bluebeard of Gone Bay. Vondreux says he's an inventor like many grifters, but is not actually an inventor. The authorities were not particularly interested in finding a grifter who had stolen not a huge amount of money from investors. So this is someone who was able to take advantage of world events around them to get out of prison.
