Lighting - You're Never Going to Shoot the Day
I've definitely been on a film where sets being built literally to the walls of the stage and there's just no way to light it. So I basically had my key grip get a chainsaw. You say, this other one where you say, I have to light from above, don't put a ceiling, we're never going to see the ceiling. Gorgeous ceiling, absolutely gorgeous ceiling that got cut down in the morning. The designer afterwards said that he realized completely what I had to do.
