Suffering for Christians is set about on all sides by joy, and that's how we deal with it. As the happy old Puritan, Richard Sibs, said, we will not suffer with Christ if we will not first feast with him. It is the happy secret of the saints who have borne most cheerfully and bravely for Christ. The world simply cannot understand how to rejoice even in suffering.
