AI will be smarter than any human at any task by the end of this decade. We're going to start to approach multi-modal transformer models like GPT-4 that across multiple domains are so flexible, it's like a super intelligent human. Could you drop it in the middle of a field and just leave it and let it figure out maybe not? People tend to couple those two things with very accustomed to the only truly higher form of intelligence on the planet, humans being also conscious beings. You can be ultra, ultra intelligent across and hugely flexible across that without being conscious whatever that means really we don't know as well.
