The Autobiography of Maimon Moeniborimen

The autobiography appeared in two parts. The first part is 1792, second part is 1793. It was the best seller. I mean, we know that it entered almost every German salon in the 1790s. Gatoru is impressed by that and invites Maimon to visit him. He never happens. We don't know what the principle is going on there. But to think that the autobiography became a major source to my mind, German understanding or perception of Judaism.
