State Building by the US Military

The practices of military to build a state are often endemic to building a state. The us has never dealt with that like it does now, partly because it doesn't want to admit its own imperial ambitions at directly and partly also because we've outsource this all to the military,. which is not designed or catered nor attracts people who would be particularly good at designing systems for colonial contest.
