John and Henry were playing blind man's buff with a friend. Bob started staggering towards the stone wall edging the garden. When he was just an arm's length from the wall, he smashed his face into it. He had to get a hospital for a couple of days and spend the rest of the summer with a sort of perspex mold over what remained of his front teeth. After helping him smash his teeth in, on another very hot afternoon, he let me wrap his head in a full-size woolen blanket,. And after a while, he collapsed from his fixation. Later on that summer, I shot Biffy With a homemade harpoon. That's for damaging my stone
