The Buddha begins the suta with this very bold declaration: This is the direct path to realization. He then points out, namely the four sati patanas, the four mindful abidings. As part of our cultural attention deficit disorder, I find that in reading the Buddha's words or hearing them, whenever I come across the repetitions, what I find my mind habitually doing is just to skip over them.
