The Quran's Command to Study Aristotle
The Quran instructs Muslims to study philosophy, says Averuis. He argues that this is because God wants us to investigate all created beings using the intellect. The best understanding of anything is demonstrative knowledge, he writes. This can only be achieved by calling on our predecessors for help in learning more about logic and Aristotle.
