The Negativity Bias

It's called the negativity bias. We turn our attention to negative stimuli more than we do neutral or positive stimuli. And you're right, it's a survival mechanism. It's evolutionarily beneficial. If there's something in our environment that's going to threaten us, that could kill us, et cetera, it's advantageous to attend to that stimulus so that we can avoid it. Yeah. I haven't heard that before. But my hunch is from following what these utilities have been doing with this stuff and hearing about this problem with like, oh, we don't want to give people negative feedback. Is there a thing called reactance bias?
