Georgia and the Soviet Union
Georgia is a former soviet state. The seeds of this conflict were planted in the early days of its independence. Also complicating georgia's relations with russia were two small separatist provinces inside georgia called south ascetia and abcasia. After the collapse of the soviet union, both fought for independence, but their status was never settled. Over the years, eradic but deadly fighting broke out. This two ar wars, thin a prase and sou sosetia, came at a massive cost a georgians absolutely played part in that as well.
