Laurie Metcalfe: The idea of rewriting was so terrifying to me because I was afraid I would ruin the essence of what was in there or break something. "I have this graveyard of like barf drafts that I never, you know, was brave enough to go back into," she said. She says it's about writing a barf draft and then not giving it to anyone and reshaping it.
