So what alex wrote was, i called it the rule of three. I think this came from mackinsey or some place, that whenever you're trying to persuade person to do something, always present three reasons,. Never two, never four, but exactly three. The idea is it gets people's attention. And most of us have been hired wired to expect things in groups of three, so it's more persuasive.
