Is It Possible to Simulate Reality?

Cognitive nera science now acknowledges in about 50 % of our waking moments, our attention is not in the moment that we're experiencing. The simulation mode can be very powerful, but it can hijack us away from the present moment. We want to honor an actual emotional experience and a and a reality that we have experienced for real. But we also don't want to continue to re experience in an unproductive manner. Why? Because the moment has passed. That isn't the reality right now. And so what we want to try to do is be aware that we're higjacked.
