The Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon Has Been Granted Grade to List Status
The oasis leisure centre in swindon has been granted grade to listed status. The domed 19 70 swimming pool had been at the centre of plans for its demolition and re development after it closed down more than a year ago. Architectural heritage campaigners are celebrating, but the building's new owners warn that keeping the dome means it is highly questionable whether the oasis will ever reopen as a leisure centre again.
