The way academia and tenure is set up is like, you know, they give you freedom to do what you want. But some people decide not to do anything. There's so many cases I know where it's like, there's a secret reason or there's something different about the person that you would not know from their public presentation. You don't know someone's full background when you just see them on social media or the way they present themselves. It's more complicated and gray to be frank.
