Is the Church a Sham Culture?
The church, doctrinally and organizationally, is not a shame culture. But because of our standards, because of the law of god and his commandments and our covenants, then yes, we should be a guilt culture. And what i love about this admission on the part of ezra is he feels that guilt, even though he's not the one that's guilty. The way he phrased it, our iniquities are increased over our heads. Are trespasses grown up into the heavens. If zion is one heart and one mind, then i should feel as bad for your sins as you do.
