The Role of Sex in Attachment
Sex is connected to attachment, but I like the way you said that is a part of a secure attachment because it flows both ways. Once we begin to develop a healthy attachment and we create a boundary that makes it more secure, then sex can begin to grow. All of the chemicals that come in having sex with each other, the oxytocin, the vasopressic dopamine and all of these host of chemicals that flow from healthy sexuality,. reinforce that secure attachment and bond us together even more and more.
