Is the Government Aware of the Potential Problem?
The government is aware of the potential problem for their new legislation provided by this event coming out of Afghanistan. The UK believes these people should be coming in asylum elsewhere in Europe. But on the other we're now saying well anyone arriving from Afghanistan to stand through the official schemes is virtually deserving in protection. That's just only going to build over time. It's also actually resourcing around local authorities. You've got a big big problem there as well with local authorities saying well hang on a second we need more money, says Dominic Grieve.
