The History of the Builders Labor Federation

The unions were given incredibly significant fines that really did all but destroyed them. Two of the key young lawyers later became key politicians. But in that environment where these unions were quite isolated, there wasn't any solidarity from other unions, the government was against them. And so there was a lot, again, of isolating unions who wanted to push back against the accord.
