The Tax on Share Buybacks
On January 1st of this year, a tax on buybacks. When it affects 1% tax, is it having any effects? Do do management's talk about this at all when they talk about buybacks? Well, it's part of the conversation because it's something that we've asked company management teams and others. So far, the general answer is not really companies that have excess cash continue to utilize the cash for share buybacks. It creates a little bit of friction in the system, but it really hasn't changed behavior.
