Facebook is providing some kind of common pool good that benefits from economies of scale, from network effects. And effectively what they're setting up is a kind of what people in the antitrust world call like two-sided markets. We know that these things can generate kind of slightly exploitative arrangements because once you find yourself as the maven like Facebook, then you can start to profit a great deal.
