Is There a Rational Way of Understanding Spirituality?

Russell Brand, I noticed recently, you know, he's into all this magical stuff. Russell Brand said that when his pregnant wife was in pain,. He didn't want the Reiki healer in the house. He wanted the Western trained doctor in the lab coat with the pills and the injectables. When the chips are down you want the best explanations. And maybe magic can help. Maybe it's better than nothing. But even if there were these cycles of rationality and spirituality, that is no reason to presume they will continue. That would be induction. The story is more like a tale of people repeatedly escaping darkness and stasis. Perhaps some useful stuff in that process is rejected along the way
