The Resistance to Distributed Cognition

Think about the magnitude of possible dialogue that's currently available in the world. How do we satisfy our need for it to be recognized and have status? Why do we not just disappear into being small cogs in an ever-growing machine, where we are easily replaceable because of the ephemerality of our contribution? So that's the nature of, I think, the problem we need to confront next time.
