The New Space Launcher Is a Wasteful Project
The new rocket, in addition to being very powerful, is also apparently only meant for single use. So it's really old school technology and very expensive. It saves an enormous amount of cost if you can recycle key components. The pork barrel politics involved in this are really quite mine blowing.
