The Spiritual Works of Mercy
The spiritual works of mercy are simply ways of helping others draw closer to the lord. So we do those things out of the same love for the lord that we do the corporal works of mercy. The root of everything is to love you me, to love you with the love of jesus. That's the connection between the two.
