Is There a Nation?
I want to write about a whole panoramic picture of Ottoman Empire as it falls down, but I also want out of the ashes of the empires, new nations emerge. You can see in an isolated moment 200 years of history and captured into 20 days, maybe. Ireland, I invented the island of Mingaria because it gave me an isolation I needed and used in my novel snow. The small eastern northern eastern town of Kars is isolated from the rest of the world or in Turkey. Here, there is a pandemic and there are international boats that stop. So isolation makes the history, participate, dramatize quickly.
