The Rescue Game
In the rescue game, there players fall into three categories. You have victims, persecutors and rescuers. Everyone gets in one of those rolls. Victim's job is to suffer. Persecutor’s job is to make the victim suffer. Rescuers' job is to punish the persecutor without actually helping the victim at all. This is the basic structure of american politics these days. Some group gets assigned the role of victim. It's their job thereafter, to moan about how badly theye been victimized,. And your make it, make as much noise about that as possible. Somebody else gets assigned therole of persecutor. Their job is to get beaten up.
