The Problem With the Referees on Hockey Night
There is something that needs to be pointed out because every time we point out a player is leading in penalties drawn. The refs go, Oh, we can't do that. We have to dial it back from Kevin Pappetti. It would be a real shame if it was widely reported that Nikita Kucharov is second in the Eastern Conference in penalty differential this season. I stopped using penalties or drawn penalty differential as a point of analysis a few seasons ago. Hockey night needs to stop covering for the officials when they blatantly target certain players and HL officials are a huge problem. They drag the league backwards.
