Getting Kids to Work Through Disagreements
Kids need this practice to learn to negotiate, to compromise and to problem solve. Here are some guide lines so that you can leave room for kids to work it out. If they're just squabbling, they're just bickering a little bit, totally normal. Give them a chance to work things through. You can go and stand near by in case it escalades. But if you always jump in right away, they won't get any practice at working things out,. So it won't gete unless they get some practice and learn how to negotiate with each other and co operate.
