The CE plus MPA arm was stopped early, a little over five years. The dropout rate is actually substantial in all hormone therapy trials. There are some side effects of hormone therapy with the women who had an intact uterus and were taking estrogen plus progestin. They may have had some breast tenderness or other symptoms and dropped out.
