Rousseau is a seminal thinker and he paves the way for a lot of later thinkers. I think his influence on Kant, we already mentioned, but he clearly has an influence on Marx. And so yeah, Marx subscribes to this sort of idea that human nature changes over time or there is no human nature strictly speaking. So Rousseau points to a sort of historical understanding of man, even if it's not quite there in him, maybe it is.
