Introduction

Iceland's highway department is building a new road through the Alftenes Peninsula. Standing in their way was a massive rock, 12 feet high and weighing an estimated 70 tons. The stone, they say, is inhabited by the Haldafoke, the hidden people. They are the size and shape of humans and live in much the same way that we do, except, of course, they're invisible.
