Amanda story is one version of how this kind of nervousness and fear might play out. Another scenario is something that happens when doctors are actually following the letter of these abortion bands. The symptoms and the treatments for miscarriages and abortions are very much the same. They're very similar. So let's talk about what it's going to mean for now millions of women to live in this new world where medical experts are starting to worry that they may end upGoing to jail for offering what has been very standard care for a miscarriage.
Across the United States, Republicans emboldened by the overturning of Roe v. Wade are passing laws intended to stop medical staff from providing an abortion.
But those same laws may also be scaring health workers out of providing basic care for miscarriages.
