Is God's Death a Sufficient Weapon?

Luther said that without the full throated confession of sin and a inability for humans to justify themselves, we will always fall back into the sinful temptation of simply turning god into our own subject. We are going to leave our people at the mercies of their own sinful proclivity to again turn god into a great dispenser of Blessings.
