The Value of in-Person Instruction

Can you see a day when a university decides to completely give up any kind of physical plant? We just have a real strong feeling in traditional US institutions that sitting in a darkened classroom and watching a professor 50 yards away on a stage is the way to deliver information. What I'm imagining is much more like what in the 21st century will be the replacement for one-on-one interaction with students. That may be a combination of online delivery, a really sophisticated way of having a single professor and his or her assistants reach many students.
