John Adema used his connections that he'd built in his counterterrorism training school to like fill up convention rooms with cool military gear and people would pay to go gawk at it. The trade shows generated enough interest from legitimate experts that Adema eventually met up with a subcontractor who was able to get him a real job training real cops in the former Soviet Republic of Lithuania, which we all knew know is like the king of doing a good background check on a guy.
